Same rules on every account size — $5,000 to $400,000, with Pay Later starting at $10,000 — and every account trades on Platform 5. On Pay Later the account fee is charged only when you pass, and it comes back with your 4th reward; on the upfront evaluations it comes back with your 3rd, and on Instant with your 5th. Approved rewards are processed within 48 hours — if we're ever late, we pay you $1,000. The exact rules for the plan you choose are shown at checkout and locked in for the life of that account.

The math

Drawdown, explained

The two lines most firms hide behind. Ours are fixed, visible, and measured the way you'd want.

Static evaluations · end-of-day daily

A line you can always see

Max drawdown is static on every evaluation. It's set once, from your starting balance — a fixed floor that never moves while you're passing the challenge. Drop to it and the account closes; stay above it and you keep trading. You always know exactly where the line sits.

Once you're funded, some paths switch to a trailing drawdown that follows your balance up as it grows — the 1-Step, 1-Step Pro, Instant and Pay Later funded accounts. The 2-Step, 2-Step Pro and 3-Step funded accounts stay static. Whichever applies to you is published on your program page before you buy, and it never changes afterwards.

Daily drawdown is checked at the close, not tick-by-tick. At midnight UTC we take the higher of your balance or your equity — floating P&L included — and the next day's daily line sits your daily percentage below that mark. It resets every trading day, so an intraday dip you trade back before the close never breaches you.

Your evaluation max-drawdown floor is set on day one and stays there.
Daily line resets at every close — only where you end the day counts.

Worked example · $100K, 1-Step

Starting balance$100,000
Daily drawdown (4%, end-of-day)$4,000
Max drawdown floor (7%, static)$93,000

Now you grow to $110,000

EVALUATION · STATIC
Floor stays at $93,000 for the whole challenge.
FUNDED · TRAILING
Floor follows your balance up, sitting 7% below your high-water mark.
And the daily line, day by day

You close a day at $101,000 balance with $103,000 equity on an open runner. The higher figure — $103,000 — becomes the reference, so tomorrow's daily line sits 4% below it at $98,880. At the next close, it resets again.

Play style

Allowed vs prohibited

Trade the way you actually trade — news, weekends and EAs included. Here's the short list of what isn't welcome.

Allowed

  • News trading — on every program, with a 5-minute rule around releases once funded
  • Weekend & overnight position holding — on every program
  • Your own Expert Advisors (EAs) & automated strategies
  • Scalping & intraday strategies — above the minimum hold time
  • Trading without a stop-loss — SL/TP recommended, never enforced

Prohibited

  • High-frequency trading (HFT) & tick-scalping bots
  • Latency arbitrage
  • Copy trading across accounts — including between your own accounts
  • Letting others trade your account — sharing, selling, or managed services
  • Exploiting platform, pricing, or simulated-feed errors
Position limits — every program
Max 100 lots per tradeMax 500 lots per dayMinimum hold time — 3 minutes on evaluations, 30 seconds on Instant & Pay Later fundedStop-loss & take-profit optional — recommended, never enforced

The full, binding list lives in our Terms of Service.

The real edge

Your consistency rule, in plain sight.

A consistency rule limits how much a single day can contribute toward the applicable total. FundedAxe publishes its number before you buy: 20% to 50%, depending on the program — and the 2-Step and 2-Step Pro paths carry none at all.

Published before you buy No time limits No hidden targets
If it ends

What closes an account

Understand the loss limits and prohibited conduct that can end an account. Review your program agreement for the full requirements.

What breaches

  • Ending a trading day past your daily drawdown line
  • Touching your max-drawdown floor
  • Breaking a prohibited-conduct rule (Terms §8)

There are no tripwires beyond the rules published for your plan — no time limits, and every consistency requirement is on your program page before you buy. Cross one of these lines and that account closes — nothing else does.

Start fresh

A breach ends that account, not your journey. Take what you learned and start a new challenge whenever you're ready — same clear rules, same fair fight. On Pay Later you can reset the same challenge 72 hours after a breach for 40% of the fee.

Rules locked at purchase

The rules in force when you buy apply, unchanged, for the life of that challenge or funded account. Any improvement only ever applies in your favour.
