Minimum Trading Days: What They Cost You and Why They Exist

A minimum trading day requirement can add weeks between passing and getting paid. What the rule is for, how firms count a day, and where FundedAxe sits.

A minimum trading day rule says you must trade on at least N separate days before a pass or a payout counts — even if you reached the target on day one.

Why firms use it

  • To make a single lucky position insufficient to pass.
  • To generate enough data points for a risk profile to be meaningful.
  • To dampen the incentive to gamble for a fast pass.

What it costs you

Time, and sometimes discipline. A trader who hits the target on day two and must trade eight more days will often take marginal setups to satisfy the counter, risking an account that had already passed. The correct response is to trade the smallest possible size on the filler days — but the rule creates the temptation regardless.

Where FundedAxe sits

ProgrammeMinimum trading days

FundedAxe Pro 1-Step Pro / 2-Step Pro4 and 3, each at 0.5% a day
Instant5 before the first reward, at 1% a day

Zero on the Pay After Pass challenge means a trader who reaches the target in four sessions passes in four sessions. The counter only appears once the account is funded.
